FIGGY Playscape
Designed for Figgy Play - 2026
As a contract designer for Figgy, I designed a children’s playscape for the luxury market. The goal was a play environment that engages kids through movement, imagination, and discovery, while meeting the elevated materials, craftsmanship, and aesthetic standards of high-end interiors. The result is a piece parents are proud to display and children love to use, where thoughtful design and safety come before toy-like clutter.
Design strategy, cost analysis
Every design decision I made was weighed against its cost to produce. I balanced materials, manufacturing methods, and construction details against target retail price and margin, so each concept is as commercially viable as it is beautiful. By building cost analysis into the design process from the start, not tacking it on at the end, I found opportunities to simplify, value-engineer, and protect the design intent while keeping products on budget and ready for production.
